Maths: Money Problems

This week we are studying money in maths. Some children were working out what a number of items cost and the change we would get and others were finding out which toys we could buy for £1.00.

The class worked so productively that they earned 6 minutes of golden time!

Science: Light and Reflection

Today we continued our investigations into the properties of light. We used torches to find out which materials were reflective and ranked them in order of most reflective to least reflective.

Here we are in action...

Tag Rugby Tournament 13th March 2017

Today Barn Owls went to Diss High School to take part in a tag rugby tournament. The children were split into three teams. Everyone enjoyed the day and Bressingham 2 were in the finals playing Garboldisham 2, Diss 2 and Garboldisham 4. Unfortunately we lost the last game 4 - 0 but had a good time trying!

Here are some photos of the day. We started by warming up...

World Book Day Celebrations: Friday March 3rd 2017

Today we are celebrating World Book Day by dressing up as book characters. Here are Barn Owls in all their finery:

We spent the morning doing lots of creative activities relating to books. In Barn Owl class Mrs Andrew explained the story of Ottoline and how she collects odd shoes. The children in her group drew and completed their own shoe designs which will be used for a display...

The other classes also did activities relating to World Book Day; making recipes, bookmarks and writing stories...

After PE we wrote our own cartoon strips...

And last, but definitely not least...
